My parents tell me that some of my earliest thoughts and questions revolved around the concept of time. I learned about the amazing tools of time travel which humans had invented, using thought, language, sound, and images. A camera became the most powerful time machine I could ever hope to wield, and the life long journey of using photons to capture moments in history and tell stories began. The humbling pursuit has only fostered an even greater desire to understand more and to seek out mentors and collaborators.
